How are shipping costs calculated for multiple items?
Shipping costs vary depending on the product type, order size, and destination. Use this guide to learn how to calculate shipping rates for orders from different product categories.
Shipping for multiple products in the same category
If you’re ordering more than one item from the same product category (like a sweatshirt and sweatpants)
- Go to the Shipping page.
- Find the product category in the shipping rates overview.
- Note the Single product price.
- Add the Additional product price for each extra item.
Example: Shipping a sweatshirt and sweatpants to Australia:
- Sweatshirt (Single product): 11.29 USD
- Sweatpants (Additional product): 2.05 USD
- Total shipping cost: 13.34 USD
Shipping for products in different categories
When an order contains items from different shipping categories (like a hoodie and an apron):
- Go to the Shipping page.
- Check both categories in the shipping rates overview.
- Use the highest Single product cost as the base.
- Add the Additional product cost from the second product’s category.
Example: Hoodie and apron shipping to the USA:
- Hoodie (Single product): 8.49 USD
- Apron (Additional product): 2.00 USD
- Total shipping cost: 10.49 USD
Shipping for products that ship separately
Some products, like structured hats, often ship separately due to their packaging needs.
If your order has multiple items from the same separate-shipping category (e.g., two mugs):
- Use the method for multiple products from the same category.
If your order has products from different separate-shipping categories (e.g., a canvas and a mug):
- Add both Single product shipping prices.
Example: Canvas and enamel mug shipping to Europe:
- Canvas: 6.49 USD
- Mug: 5.19 USD
- Total shipping cost: 11.68 USD
