Does Printful charge sales tax?
We charge sales tax in most US states, as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Sales tax rates differ not only by state but also by county, city, and even district within each state. That’s why the amount can vary depending on where your order is delivered.
However, if you’ve submitted a valid resale certificate for a state you’re selling to, we won’t charge you sales tax on orders going to that state.
Here’s a list of where we currently charge sales tax:
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming as well as in the territory of Puerto Rico.
