How do marketplaces handle GPSR details?
Some marketplaces have introduced dedicated fields for entering the necessary GPSR details. If you add the information that way, you do not need to include this information in your product descriptions.
Note
If a marketplace has separate fields for manufacturer and responsible person information, enter your contact information as the manufacturer. For the responsible person, use your contact information if it’s in the EU or Northern Ireland; otherwise, use Printful affiliate’s default contact information available in Store Settings.
Etsy
- Business and responsible person’s information: Add an EU-based economic operator as the responsible person by following Etsy’s guidelines. You can either use the default business information provided in Store Settings or enter your own EU or Northern Ireland address.
Note
The GPSR does not require a phone number as part of the contact details. On Etsy, you can enter “n/a” or a similar placeholder. Alternatively, you may provide your own phone number if you are using your own contact information.
- Product and warranty information: Use Etsy’s bulk update feature to efficiently add the required information simultaneously to multiple products that share the same product model. Only bulk update products that share the same model, such as Bella+Canvas 3001, with the same information, as necessary details can vary significantly from one product to another. To add GPSR details, select products that share the same model and choose Editing options → Edit descriptions.
