What is Printful’s print file content policy?
We’re here to help bring your creative ideas to life and support your business as it grows. Since your designs can reach customers all over the world, it’s important to make sure your content is respectful, legal, and follows a few key rules.
When you upload a print file, whether it’s to your library or for an order, you’re confirming that you have the rights to use, sell, and distribute that content. You’re also taking full responsibility for what you upload.
To keep our platform safe and fair for everyone, we don’t allow content that:
- Promotes hate or violence
- Is illegal
- Violates intellectual property rights
In accordance with our Intellectual Property Policy, you are only allowed to use images that you own or have the right to use. Images created with Printful’s AI Image Generator belong to you and can be used both inside and outside Printful, as long as they comply with our content and intellectual property policies.
We may review and remove content that doesn’t meet these standards.
Prohibited content
As stated in our Terms of Service, any content meeting the criteria below is prohibited and may result in the termination of your account:
- Child Exploitation: You may not post or upload Content that exploits or abuses children, including but not limited to images or depictions of child abuse or sexual abuse, or that presents children in a sexual manner.
- Harassment, Bullying, Defamation and Threats: You may not post or upload Content that harasses, bullies, defames or threatens a specific individual.
- Hateful Content: You may not post or upload Content that condones or promotes violence against people based on race, ethnicity, color, national origin, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition or veteran status, promotes crimes and/or terrorism.
- Illegal Content: You may not post or upload Content that is obscene or that facilitates or promotes activities that go against the laws of the jurisdictions in which you operate or do business.
- Intellectual Property: You may not post or upload Content that violates or otherwise does not comply with our Intellectual Property Policy.
- Personal and Confidential Information: You may not post or upload any Content that contains personally identifiable information sensitive personal information, or confidential information, such as credit card numbers, confidential national ID numbers, or account passwords unless you have consent from the person to whom the information belongs or who is otherwise authorized to provide such consent.
- Self-Harm: You may not post or upload Content that promotes self-harm.
- Terrorist Organizations: You may not post or upload Content that implies or promotes support or funding of, or membership in, a terrorist organization.
- Misinformation: You may not post or upload any Content that promotes harmful misinformation that is known to or may reasonably lead to violence or threats to the health and safety of the public, or creates a risk of harm or harassment.
